Dr. kYmberly Mieshia Dionn Keeton is a visionary Texas-based creative force—an award-winning writer, art librarian, Black scholar, cultural historian, archivist, and genealogy curator. As the founder of ART | library deco, a digital African American research art library and repository, and the principal consultant at The K Agency, Keeton brings innovation and intentionality to every facet of her work. Renowned for her leadership, advocacy, and collaborative spirit, she bridges the worlds of art, archives, and scholarship with a powerful lens rooted in community and equity.

Dr. Keeton’s interdisciplinary research focuses on African American community archives in Texas, the development of theoretical frameworks to support them, cultural philanthropy, and the evolving role of Black Galleries, Libraries, Archives, and Museums (BGLAM). Her scholarship has been supported by the Institute of Human Studies, Pratt Institute’s DPOE-Network, the New England Archivists Society, and Drexel University.

 A lifelong learner and community builder, Keeton holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Information Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of North Texas (2024). She actively serves on local, regional, and national committees and boards and is a proud member of Gamma Pi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, The National Council of Negro Women, The Douglass Club of Austin, and Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.

 When she’s not archiving stories or leading cultural initiatives, Dr. Keeton enjoys blogging about her Virgo lifestyle, reading, writing, and spending time with her beloved dog, Roxy Blue.
